The Third Rock Fire Pit Globe is uniquely crafted by an experienced artist. He grew up in a Mennonite farming village nestled in the Illinois prairie. He learned many things from the hard working farmers and machinists in the township, including the joining together of metals. Using brazing rods and arc welders, the Mennonites repaired and built their farm equipment. Now dozens of years later, he lives and works with his family on the banks of Barton Creek in the rolling hills of Tennessee. Although the tools he uses in metal sculpture have improved over the years, the core skills learned long ago remain the same.
Each piece has a brass plate with its unique number. No two pieces carry the same number. This assures your fire pit's individuality.

Each fire pit piece is handcrafted by a skilled metal artist in Tennessee. The artist personally creates each fire pit using the metal working skills he originally learned from the Mennonites that he grew up with. He blends art and practicality by cutting and welding steel into a hybrid of practical and artistic forms.
The artist loves sitting outside with friends and his family, especially when the gathering is centered around a fire. He noticed that after using most fire pits for just a few short years, they began to lose their visual appeal and even corroded away. To solve this problem he began creating his own line of fire pits. In doing so, he quickly discovered how much he loved creating an item that could bring people together so intimately. Conversations and spirits intertwine when people gather around a fire, and the artist works hard to ensure that these fire pits will last for a lifetime of fires.
Each fire pit is shaped by electric arc welding tools. The artist joins the fire pit bowl to its base using an inside weld. Putting the weld inside the base is no easy task but once completed, the reward is a completely smooth joint on the visible outer edge. His attention to detail is unparalleled, and his custom pieces are incomparable to other fire pits in the market. The artist is willing to work with individual pit owners to give them a truly unique custom fire pit. He's been called upon to make many custom pieces, from designs featuring a Fleur De Lis to a Funky Dog.
All components are warranted for a period of 10 years after date of purchase by the original owner against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use. This warranty does NOT cover normal wear and weathering, assembly and/or maintenance OR use in a commercial application. At the Manufacturer's sole discretion, products under warranty will be repaired and/or replaced at no charge to the customer. Any returns sent back must be sent via prepaid freight and in the original retail packaging.
Proof of purchase will be required before warranty service is rendered. The sales receipt is the only valid proof of purchase. Failures and/or damage which result from accident, negligence, misuse, abuse, neglect, mishandling, alteration or modification, failure to maintain, improper assembly or maintenance, service by unauthorized agency or use of unauthorized components or damage that is attributable to acts of God are NOT covered
