The first option is the On/Off model - at no extra charge - which allows for quick turn on and off of your insert. The second option is the Variable Flame model, which is available with an additional charge and allows for flame control. The Variable Flame model has a 45% turn-down flame that gives you not only the option to control the height of your flame but gives you the option of more or less heat with the size flame you choose. Both will make for a great choice - it just depends on the kind of control you want with your insert.
